Allegro Suite
Located on the 19th floor
of the Hotel Allegro, our
corner suite offers 900
square feet of hospitality
space, complete with a
intimate seating areas and a
table that seats up to ten
for a sleeves-rolled-up
meeting or a celebratory
dinner party. The details,
such as palm trees, views
overlooking the city, a Sony
stereo, a full bathroom, and
all the services and
amenities are what
differentiate this suite.
Just in case you want to
stretch your stay, you can
make this into a one- or
two-bedroom suite: one wing
has a king-bedded guestroom
(with a two-person Jacuzzi
tub) and the other wing
offers a double-bedded room.
King Suites
We have two styles of our
stylish King Suites at the
Hotel Allegro. Both feature
a 27" flat screen
television, a Sony CD stereo
with remote control and a
sofa that converts into a
full-sized bed in the parlor
area. One suite style
features a large writing
desk and the other offers a
conference table for four.
The separate - and private -
bedroom offers the luxury of
a king-sized bed. And one
style comes with a Jacuzzi
tub for one while the other
has a Jacuzzi tub for two.
Indulge in the animal print
robes (available for
purchase) and we supply the
Mr. Bubble for the tub.
Second City Suite
The Second City Suite
celebrates the 40th
anniversary of Chicago's
famed Second City Theatre.
With design input from the
cast and crew of The Second
City, including set designer
Lyn Pusztai, the suite
includes elements unique to
the Wells Street cabaret
theatre founded in December
1959. In addition to photos
and memorabilia, the suite
features an original
caricature by artist Bill
Utterback, who created
artwork for every Second
City revue for nearly 30
years. The hallway leading
to the suite contains an
original piece by
Chicago-based artist Tom
Fedro, in addition to
artifacts, photos and other
Second City images.
Furnishings for The Second
City Suite are on loan from
the company's private
collection or are
handcrafted exclusively for
the Hotel Allegro Chicago.
The Second City is a
Chicago mainstay and
launching pad for numerous
comedic actors, writers and
directors working today in
American film, television
and theater - and remains -
a must-see for visitors and
locals alike.
