Restaurant and Lounge:
The Grill on the Alley at
the Westin Michigan Avenue
is the latest location of a
restaurant that was named to
the Fine Dining Hall of Fame
by Nation’s Restaurant
News in 1995. Opened in
Beverly Hills, California,
in 1984, The Grill on the
Alley soon became known as
the entertainment industry’s
number one spot for the
"power lunch", and
to this day attracts the
movers and shakers of
Hollywood.
The Grill opened its
second location at The
Fairmont Hotel in downtown
San Jose, California, in
1998, and currently attracts
some of the biggest names in
the fabled Silicon Valley
region of Northern
California.
The Grill is recognized
for its menu of
straightforward American
favorites. They include
prime steaks, fresh seafood,
traditional dishes such as
meatloaf and mashed potatoes
and chicken pot pie, Cobb
salad, and homemade desserts
like The Grill’s oversize
serving of fresh fruit
cobbler.
But there is more to The
Grill on the Alley than
great food – there’s
also the kind of outstanding
service that keeps
restaurant-goers coming back
for more. At The Grill, our
guests always have and
always will come first. The
Grill on the Alley is the
kind of restaurant that you
can enthusiastically
recommend to the guests of
the hotel, who are looking
for a first rate fine dining
experience.
